New information has emerged about the alleged homophobic attack on “Empire” star Jussie Smollett after a Freedom of Information Act request allowed media outlets to obtain the police report.

According to the report, states Associated Press, Smollett told officers that his attackers appeared to know who he was, alleging that two masked men dressed in black got his attention by mentioning the name of the Fox TV series, followed by homophobic and racial slurs.

The report continues with Smollett detailing how his attackers battered him “about the face with their hands” before “pouring an unknown chemical substance on him staining his clothing.”
