A Taylor Swift stalker has been sentenced to six months in jail after breaking into the singer’s New York townhouse and taking a nap.
Roger Alvarado, 22, of Homestead, Florida, appeared in Manhattan Criminal Court Tuesday, where he pleaded guilty to criminal contempt and attempted burglary.
The New York Post reported Alvarado was now planning to return to Florida after his jail stint, which is nearly finished, to serve a further five years’ probation.
The Post also stated Alvarado would have to complete a mental-health program.
Alvarado was said to have used a ladder to climb through Swift’s Franklin Street home window on April 20.
After a neighbour reported the burglary, cops showed up to find the accused sleeping in Swift’s bed. He’d also used her shower.
The musician was not home during the break-in.
Alvarado had previously been arrested at the same address last February after breaking the front door down with a shovel.
