Julia Michaels and Niall Horan are reminiscing about love gone wrong.
The singers performed their song “What a Time” on Monday’s episode of “The Late Late Show”. This follows the song’s music video release on Thursday, Feb. 7.

Michaels and Horan, both 25, had instant chemistry on stage. They intertwined fingers at multiple times in the video and Michaels even placed her hand on his chest.
The live performance on “The Late Late Show” follows the release of their “What a Time” music video. In the video, Michaels sit back to back with a Horan stand-in in a room strewn with flowers. Michaels sings to “Horan”, who remains still the entire time.
“You clinged to my body like you wanted it forever,” Michaels sings. “What a time, what a time, what a time.”
“I know we didn’t end it like we’re supposed to,” Horan sings in response. “And now we get a bit tense.”
Last month, Michaels spoke to Billboard about the collaboration with Horan. “He walks in, and he’s just his goofy, silly self,” she said. “I can’t think of a moment where he and I aren’t laughing and being completely ridiculous with each other.”
“We always make fun of each other for a second, then he sings his heart out, and then he’s like, ‘Cool, I’ll see you later,'” she continued. “And all of a sudden there’s this magical vocal on this song, and he sounds like a sweet baby angel.”
