Ja Rule definitely isn’t letting the Fyre Festival controversy get him down.

The 42-year-old, who co-founded the disastrous music event alongside entrepreneur Billy McFarland, took to Twitter this week to promote his new “celebrity entertainment booking & concierge service”, ICONN.

The rapper insisted, “What we do at  http://Iconn.me is simple we connect buyers directly with artists and their management teams no middle men… and we take NOTHING FROM THE ARTIST…”

However, once word of Ja Rule’s latest project got out, social media users were quick to criticize the star for creating something they thought was way too similar to the doomed Fyre Festival.

Despite the backlash, the musician defended his creation, saying: “All press is good press thanks!”
