James Corden was apparently too busy to go to the Super Bowl so he sent his parents instead.
On Thursday night’s “The Late Late Show”, the host played a long segment featuring his mother Margaret and his father Malcolm, who travelled from the UK to Atlanta to take in the full Super Bowl experience.
The couple took part in football-themed activities, like kicking the ball, and some sort of contraption in which Margaret controlled Malcolm as he hung in the air on ropes.
They also got to meet some big names, including halftime show performer Adam Levine, who kissed Malcolm’s bald head and sang along as he played “Moves Like Jagger” on a saxophone.
Later, they toured the city of Atlanta and got some style coaching from TV personality NeNe Leakes.
Finally, Margaret and Malcolm got to take in the big game at field level and even got to talk to Super Bowl champs Patriots and hold the trophy.
