Super Bowl LIII MVP and New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman shaves off his famous beard during an appearance on Friday’s “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”.
The sportsman, who makes an entrance carrying the Vince Lombardi trophy, chats to DeGeneres about winning the Super Bowl before she shows viewers a naked pic of him.

Edelman explains of the shot, “It was a crazy day. The temperature was just right though, that was the good thing.
“They said it was gonna be a small set and all of a sudden there’s 35 people there and you’re naked for four hours.”
Talk then turns to his facial fuzz before DeGeneres suggests shaving it all off for charity.

The talk-show host says she’ll make a donation of $10,000 in his name to the Boys & Girls Club of Boston, courtesy of Shutterfly, with Edelman adding that he’d match the amount.
He says before DeGeneres does the honours, “It’s like a child, it grows on you.
“I love you, beard, it’s been a hell of a year.”
