Get your coffee and sarcasm ready because the “Gilmore Girls” festival is coming to Canada.

The show was set in the fictional Connecticut town of Stars Hollow, but the show was actually filmed on Main Street, Unionville, Markham which is just north of Toronto.

The Gilmore Girls Fan Fest describes the event that runs of Oct. 4-6 as a gathering of “many with shared dreams celebrating something that we all love, travelling from far corners of the world to connect with a show (a lifestyle, a religion you might say) that has uniquely impacted their own lives.”

The festival has been running from 2016 in Connecticut but will travel to the place it was all filmed for this year’s festivities.

The website promotes Canada by saying, “The people in Canada are characteristically friendlier than you’d expect, nature shows off with new colours (even the squirrels have a beautifully intriguing black-coloured fur) and coffee tastes better than usual on a chilly day when you’re exploring a new town.”

Tickets for the event go on sale Feb. 11 and cost $275 USD for the three-day event.

This year’s schedule has not been announced yet but some of the activities last year included panels with stars of the show, coffee (of course!), dancing, trivia, meet and greets, more coffee, and “The Wedding Reception Luke and Lorelai Never Had”.
