As Prince William has been President of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts since 2010, he always tries to make an appearance at the awards in London. His wife, Kate Middleton has been by his side twice before.
The night out for the mom and dad of three is always a good one and Sunday was no exception. The Duchess looked stunning in an Alexander McQueen one-shoulder white Grecian goddess gown paired with a pair of Diana, Princess of Wales’ earrings. She finished the look with Jimmy Choo ‘Romy in Viola Glitter’ shoes. Prince William looked dapper in a classic black tux.
BAFTA Chief Executive Amanda Berry escorted the royal couple down the red carpet just before the award show started and showed them to their seats inside. They were introduced as the guests of honour as the crowd stood to greet them.
“It’s so quiet!” Kate giggled as they took their front row seats.
Prince William presented the Fellowship Award to film editor Thelma Schoonmaker.
After the show, the couple spent time chatting with the winner including Spike Lee, Director of “BlacKkKlansman” and Rachel Weisz for Best Supporting Actress in “The Favourite”.
They also met Olivia Colman, who is set to replace Claire Foy in “The Crown” as Queen Elizabeth in season 3. Watch her beaming reaction in the clip below.
