Disney Debuts First Look At A Blue Will Smith In Upcoming ‘Aladdin’ Live Action Film, Twitter Isn’t Having It

Fans are finally getting a look at Will Smith as the iconic blue genie in Disney’s upcoming “Aladdin”.

Just in time for the 2019 Grammy Awards, the new teaser aired during a commercial break during the ceremony hosted by Alicia Keys. Disney launched the short trailer for the highly-anticipated live-action remake, showing off Smith, Naomi Scott as Jasmine and Toronto’s Mena Massoud as Aladdin.

The new trailer opens just like the movie, at the Cave of Wonder where Jafar (Marwan Kenzari) forces a young Aladdin to retrieve the magic lamp with Smith’s Genie living inside.

After seeing Smith in all his blue-glory, Twitter is not impressed:

“Aladdin” hits big screens on May 24.
