Kacey Musgraves unveiled the music video for “Rainbow” just before taking the stage to perform it at Sunday’s Grammys.
The clip features struggling people — a single mother trying to take care of her child, a man battling alcohol addiction.
It’s been a hectic time for Musgraves, who took home four Grammy Awards Sunday, including Album of The Year and Best Country Album for Golden Hour, Best Country Solo Performance for “Butterflies”, and Best Country Song for “Space Cowboy”.
Musgraves’ emotional new vid comes as she told Entertainment Tonight how shocked she was after winning the prestigious Album of the Year award.
“I’m just, it’s really just unbelievable. This record is so personal to me,” she explained.
“It means so much to me, and I played outside my own lines a little bit and I wanted to make something that felt really good and I wanted to take my time and do it, and I don’t know, I just feel like, I’m just thankful I got the chance to make music.”
