Scott Adkins revealed the truth behind the “Batman” rumours after his audition tape was leaked online.

Adkins, 42, could be seen trying his luck as the caped crusader in the 5-minute-long clip. He then took to Twitter to reveal exactly what was going on.

The actor explained, “It’s happened, it’s out there. Nothing I can do about that now.”

He continued, “I just wanna say to be honest, I don’t mind, it’s a good audition, shows what I could’ve done for the part. It was an audition I did in 2013 when I was in China.”

“The response has been really positive so I appreciate that, but I think we all know they’re not gonna let me play Batman. But maybe one day Hollywood will give me the opportunity that I deserve.”

Bosses are said to be looking for a “household-name” in his 30s to replace Ben Affleck, according to Deadline.
