While the new rom-com “Isn’t It Romantic” appears to be Rebel Wilson’s character’s worst nightmare, her co-star Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ real romantic life is the stuff dreams are made of.
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the new flick hits theatres on Wednesday, Feb. 13 and follows Wilson’s character Natalie, a young woman who hits her head and magically wakes up inside of a romantic comedy.
ET Canada corespondent Keshia Chante sits down with the cast, including Wilson, Adam DeVine, and Chopra Jonas to talk all about the upcoming flick and the romance in their own lives.
The cast even took the opportunity to poke fun at Chopra Jonas’ never-ending wedding celebrations with husband Nick Jonas: “My life has been a rom-com in the last six to seven months,” Chopra jokingly tells Chante.
“Just Nick being so embracing of my culture and my family and his family, and just having the two weddings and just sort of the amalgamation of what happened really created a family where two cultures came together and celebrated each other,” the actress, who plays a yoga ambassador in the film, gushes. “That was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever witnessed.”
Co-star Adam DeVine points out: “He (Nick) looked good in all those outfits.” Chopra Jonas says, “He wore a turban and a feather.”
On their plans for Valentine’s Day, Priyanka says, “I’m gonna let the husband figure it out this time.”
The 36-year-old actress insists Valentine’s is more for the girl and the men should take control. In terms of Valentine’s gifts, Wilson and Chopra Jonas both agree they would prefer the more thoughtful gifts.
But, Wilson isn’t afraid to turn down an expensive gift, joking: “If someone wants to buy me a car I’ll take that.”
