A couple months ago, the creative forces behind Key & Peele, comedians Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele released a trailer for their new comedy film Keanu.
Playing as a comedy mixed with an action spoof, the film tells the story of a man who adopts a cat after a particularly bad break up only to have him kidnapped by a gangster. Pulling from the action movie John Wick, starring Keanu Reeves, the only question we had after watching the trailer (on repeat) was “what does Keanu think of Keanu?”;
Well Matte Babel got the answer for us when he caught up with the actor before he took home the Vanguard Award at CinemaCon.

“I was like “Fellas, don’t you want to change the name?'”; Reeves shares.
“I have friends showing me pictures and they’re like “look at the cat, that’s you…'”; he continues, adding that his initial reaction to the project was “pretty wacky.”;
Despite having reservations as to whether Key & Peele named the cat appropriately, Reeves shares he is (just like the rest of us) excited to see the film: “I love those guys, I love their humour, they’ve got great heart and spirit and their teaching, so hopefully it’s good.”; Watch below.

Now Keanu isn’t the only film Reeves jacked about, the sequel to the film that spawned the comedic spoof, John Wick: Chapter Two, has kept him very busy.
“We’ve been filming,”; the actor tells Matte. “We just finished about a couple of months ago, we have a little left to do,”; he adds.
“I think where the story goes is amazing,”; Reeves dishes. “The action is on another level, I think there’s a really cool story, “John Wick’ suffers, which I always love because he keeps fighting and you know it opens up the underworld a lot so it’s fun too.”;
Keanu hits theatres April 29 with John Wick: Chapter Two slated for early 2017.
