Lady Gaga Makes Good On 7-Year Promise To Carly Rae Jepsen

Today is Lady Gaga’s day.

Seven years ago, Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” surpassed the six weeks Gaga’s “Born This Way” spent atop the Billboard Hot 100.

Gaga posted a tweet at the time, promising she would one day exact revenge.

It was announced Tuesday that “Shallow” from the A Star Is Born soundtrack surpassed the 100 days “Call Me Maybe” spent at No. 1 on the charts.

“A Star Is Born” was an absolute hit for Gaga and her co-star/director Bradley Cooper. The film earned nominations at the Oscars, Grammys, Golden Globes, and SAGs.

“Shallow” has sold more than two million copies in the U.S.
