Miranda Lambert reportedly got into a heated exchange with a couple at a Nashville restaurant Sunday night.
According to TMZ, the country singer was dining at Stoney River Steakhouse with her mother and a family friend when an “older man started beefing” with her pal.
Lambert is thought to have “dumped a salad” in the man’s wife’s lap after he allegedly “came up to her table and started screaming.”
The whole thing reportedly started in the men’s washroom when the man in question “made a wisecrack about millennials and their phones.”
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that “cops responded to a call about two men fighting,” however, by the time they’d arrived at the restaurant, Lambert was gone. Police didn’t file a report, the website stated.
In a 911 call obtained by UsWeekly on Friday an employee at the Nashville hotspot told police the Grammy-winner started “flipping plates.”
“Something happened in the restaurant between these two gentlemen and another gentleman walked up to [Lambert’s] table and started cussing him out,” an employee said in the call. “This is the third time they’ve gotten into it, and now Miranda’s trying to hit people and she’s flipping plates over on ‘em.”
After the restaurant’s manager also dialled 911 and reported a fight had “completely disrupted” other people, the operator informed the manager, “We’ve got customers calling in too.”
Lambert was dining with her mother Beverly and a male friend.
