Moms are hard to impress, even if you’re Michelle Obama.

Late Tuesday night, the former first lady of the United States shared screenshots from a text message conversation with her mother, Marian Robinson.

“I guess you were a hit at the Grammys đŸ˜‹,” her mother texted cheekily, about her daughter’s appearance at the music awards show Sunday night.

Obama responded that the message was “so typically you.”

Her mom then asked, “Did you meet any of the real stars or did you run right after you were done.”

After a small, hilarious argument over whether Obama had told her mom she was going to be on the Grammys, the former first lady added, “And I Am A real star…by the way…”

“Yeah,” her mom replied.

Obama jokingly captioned the conversation: “When your mom doesn’t think you’re a ‘real’ celebrity.”
