Walt Disney Animation Studios has unveiled the first trailer for “Frozen 2” ahead of its November 22 release date.
Fans have been waiting patiently for a followup to the 2013 Oscar winner and box-office smash since its release six years ago; now, another epic storyline has been introduced.
The vid shows Elsa (voiced by Idina Menzel) attempting to use her powers to run across the ocean. Anna (Kristen Bell), Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and Olaf (Josh Gad) also return.
The cast have been asked about the sequel for months now, with Bell dropping hints on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” back in April.
She said at the time, “Well, you know, I can’t say a lot because Disney has people everywhere.
“I have recorded the movie, there will be edits before it’s finished but yeah, I know the songs, I know the story, it’s very good. I can’t say more than that or I’ll get in trouble.”
And 24 hours after the trailer for “Frozen 2” was released, it has broken the record for most-watched animated trailer of all time at 116.4 million views in one day.
The previous record holder was “Incredibles 2” at 113.6 million views.
The first “Frozen” grossed over $1 billion worldwide.
