UPDATE: Sunday, Apr. 17 (4:25 p.m. ET) – Prince is apparently making a speedy recovery after being hospitalized for what’s being reported as the flu, and turned up last night at a $10 dance party to demonstrate that he’s on the mend.
According to TMZ, His Purpleness “showed up at around midnight at Paisley Park near his Minnesota home and showed off his new guitar and piano.”;
Prince didn’t sing, reports TMZX, but he did tell the crowd: “Wait a few days before you waste any prayers.”;

UPDATE: Friday, Apr. 15 (1:35 p.m. ET) – After news spread that Prince had been rushed to the hospital, the singer’s rep is shedding light on his current condition.
The “Little Red Corvette” singer has been fighting the flu for the last several weeks, his rep told TMZ.
The star, who canceled two concerts on April 7, performed Thursday night in Atlanta despite feeling unwell.
After the concert, the star’s condition worsened and his plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Moline, Illinois to seek treatment in a local hospital.
According to TMZ, Prince was released three hours later and returned home by plane.

Music legend Prince has reportedly been hospitalized following an emergency jet landing in Illinois Friday morning.
TMZ reports the 57-year-old musician’s private plane made an unscheduled landing this morning at Quad City International Airport in Moline in the early hours of the morning, after a performance Thursday night in Atlanta.
The gossip site continues that he was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, but sources differ on his condition; while one source says he’s still in the hospital and “not doing well,”; while another says he’s doing fine and has since been released.
