T.I. is verbally knuckling up with undefeated 50-0 boxer Floyd “Money” Mayweather.
The three-time Grammy winner expressed his outrage over Mayweather’s support for Italian fashion house Gucci.
Gucci recently released a sweater design that resembled blackface. Many celebrities, including T.I., have boycotted the brand despite Gucci apologizing and pulling the product from shelves. Days later, Mayweather was spotted entering a Gucci store.
When asked why Mayweather continued to support the fashion house, the undefeated professional boxer dismissed the backlash.
“You know when everybody else they say, ‘Everybody gonna boycott?’ I say, Guess what, this boy gonna get on a yacht and live life,” Mayweather told TMZ. “We all know racism still exists but that’s not gonna stop my drive. I’ve got friends from all walks of life and to me of course, black lives matter first… but my thing is this, I’m gonna continue to go out there live life and be happy.”
This statement compelled T.I. to reignite his long-standing feud with Mayweather with the release of “F**k N***a” on Thursday.
“I don’t give a f**k how much money you have / What did you do with it?” T.I. raps. “How did you use it to make an impact and influence the wealth for the better? / You rather go buy jewellery, whatever.”
“All of them profits… how many scholarships?” the rapper asks in the song. “How many properties did you donate to the people in poverty?”
T.I. released a snippet from the song on Instagram. You can listen to the full track on Apple Music and iTunes.
