Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are not the only ones who know how to celebrate Valentine’s Day in grand fashion.
On Thursday’s episode of “The Late Late Show”, host James Corden took a page out of the “I Love It” rapper’s playbook and hired the legendary Kenny G to serenade his guests amongst hundreds of roses.
Ray Romano, D’Arcy Carden and Lukas Graham were all treated to the beautiful saxophone sounds of Kenny G as Corden checked in on them in their dressing rooms.
“We’ve been planning this for ages,” Corden said. “We didn’t know that Kanye was going to steal our thunder this morning.”
Earlier that day, Kardashian woke up to Kenny G playing live in her living room surrounded by a sea of roses. The reality star shared the moment on Twitter, thanking her husband for the “most thoughtful gift ever.”
Not all of Corden’s guests seemed quite as thrilled as the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star. “It’s just me and him,” Romano said. “It’s just us. And he won’t stop playing.”
Carden, meanwhile, struggled to hear the host over Kenny’s instrument. “I do think you’re saying words, but I only hear Kenny in my ear,” the “Good Place” actress told Corden.
Danish pop band Lukas Graham were a little more excited, with frontman Lukas Forchhammer telling the host, “I’m enjoying this thoroughly.”
Later in the show, Corden chatted with his guests about their Valentine’s Day plans. Carden explained that she and her husband don’t participate because it feels forced. “I feel like we’re not even gonna kiss to day,” she joked.
The former “Everybody Loves Raymond” star, however, revealed that he “needs” Valentine’s Day. “I need a day to remind me to say nice things to my wife. I’m that guy,” he quipped.
