Actor Jack Quaid is following in the footsteps of his parents, actors Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan, and will soon be seen as part of the cast of “The Boys”, an upcoming Amazon Prime Video series from executive producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg (“Preacher”).

During an appearance at the final day of the Television Critics Association (TCA) winter press tour, reports Us Weekly, the 26-year-old admitted that he wasn’t really aware of his parents’ fame until their split in 1998, when he was just 8 years old.

“It didn’t really hit me, to be honest,” he explained.

In fact, it wasn’t until he began seeing headlines about his parents’ breakup that it dawned on him that his mom and dad were kind of a big deal.

“I was like, ‘Oh, OK, so everyone knows.’ Then, yeah, I knew [they were famous], but it was just kind of normal to me,” he said. “They were just my parents.”

“I would just go in there and eat as much candy as I want,” he revealed. “That was the one perk, really.”
