It seems Lucas Hedges can do no wrong.
The 22-year-old actor has already played significant roles in the Oscar-winning “Manchester by the Sea”, as well as nominated films “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” and “Lady Bird”.
So what does Hedges have in mind for his next film? “Right now, I’m not looking to do a project that carries the weight of life itself on its shoulders, or even anything super socially relevant,” he tells GQ. “I want to do something that feels very personally significant.”
“I’m just so happy right now,” he says. “Everything’s going really well.” Despite his success, however, Hedges is staying humble. “There’s actually just no way I can be truly great at this until I’ve put in 20 more years,” he expresses. “I think a lot of the actors who get success at a really young age, they’re just not as good. How could they be?”
Hedges is already being noticed more and more in public. “I actually get a lot of ‘You look like this guy, I forget his name. Lucas something?” he explains. “Sometimes they’re like, ‘Is it you?’ And, depending on how I feel, I often say no.”
Hedges will next star in the drama “Waves” alongside Sterling K. Brown, Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Taylor Russell.
