On Wednesday, Portia de Rossi joins wife Ellen DeGeneres on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” to share details on their life-changing trip to Rwanda in support of gorilla conservation efforts.

Last year, the “Arrested Development” actress surprised DeGeneres with the launch of the Ellen Fund, a charity organization that supports conservation efforts for endangered species. Thanks to generous donors, the Ellen Fund has been able to establish the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Diane Fossey Gorilla Fund in Rwanda with the help of $5.9 million in donations.

Sharing a video of their trip last summer, which includes celebrity support and donations to the Fund, the couple reveal an artist’s rendering of the campus and recent ground-breaking ceremony, which de Rossi attended. As part of the campus, 1,500 jobs will be created as part of its construction and bring millions of dollars to the local economy.
