Sandra Oh And ‘Killing Eve’ Cast Talk Fan Love Ahead Of Season 2: ‘They’re Obsessed’

By Rachel West.

Critics aren’t the only ones that are loving “Killing Eve”.

After Sandra Oh racked up awards, including a Golden Globe and SAG Award, fans can’t seem to get enough of the BBC America series. With season 2 of “Killing Eve” hitting the small screen in April, Oh and castmates Fiona Shaw and Jodie Comer tell ET Canada’s Keshia Chante they still can’t get over the tremendous show of support from viewers.

“I will say that one of the number one words that people will come up to me and say how much they like this show – they’re ‘obsessed,'” Oh says. “And that’s always so exciting that you’re riding the wave that is resonating with people.”

“I think it says more about them. I think it’s a show people can invest in and go, ‘Oh my God, that girl said something terrible,’ but actually, I’d like to do that,” Shaw adds as her co-stars laugh. “You know, the amorality of that one and this one being a clever disaster is just marvelous and she’s so charming. I mean, I don’t find her charming but people do find her charming. They love it.”

Oh and Shaw have nothing but praise for Comer’s acting skills, which she says sometimes makes it hard for fans to separate the actress from her character.

“I think people always think I’m going to be awful, Comer explains. “When people get so close to their characters, sometimes it’s hard for people to separate.”

And Oh adds: “Which only just points out the depth of Jodie’s talent.”

“She’s acting,” Shaw says in agreement. “We couldn’t cast a real Villanelle because we’d all be dead. So we cast someone who can act.”
