Duchess Meghan Markle, 37, donated all of the flowers from her glamorous New York baby shower held on Wednesday to charity.
Attendees at the event, including Gayle King, Jessica Mulroney and Amal Clooney, were treated to a flower-arranging class by florist Lewis Miller.
Markle then brightened up the lives of those in hospitals and care centres by donating the displays, gifting some to pediatric cancer patients at Ronald McDonald House Charities.
More flowers went to cancer patients at Hope Lodge and to men and women receiving care at Unique People Services.

Thanks @gayleking @voguemagazine for sharing the very special experience planned for this very special baby shower! We were honored to match the beautiful floral arrangements designed by the Duchess of Sussex and her guests, including host @serenawilliams, to a few of our very favorite NYC neighbor organizations. The gesture of kindness brought smiles and an emotional health boost to pediatric cancer patients at @rmhnewyork, cancer patients at the @hopelodgenyc and to behaviorally and medically fragile men at the @uniquepeopleservices Vyse Avenues Program. The flowers brought a ray of sunshine on a cold winter day, and will be greatly enjoyed for the week ahead. Later, we’ll return to collect flowers and vases for composting and recycling to close the loop and ensure a zero-waste experience. Giving back to People + Planet. It’s what we do, and we’re so appreciative to have partnered with @jzevents and @lewismillerdesign for this heartfelt occasion. 🌸💕♻️ #itschictoshare #followthatflower #awinfortheearth #zerowaste #babyshower #thisislove #petalitforward #zerowaste #makingadifference #socialimpact #sustainability #repeatroses
Jennifer Grove, the CEO of charity Repeat Roses, which recycles florals from events, told People: “Repeat Roses was so honoured to help petal-it-forward with a baby shower experience for the Duchess of Sussex and her thoughtful friends by creating a ripple effect of kindness across the community.”
Gayle King added of the bash on “CBS This Morning”: “I’ve never seen anything like this at a baby shower. They did flower decorations… they brought in somebody to explain how to arrange flowers.
“We all each made an individual vase and then Meghan got in touch with an organization [called] Repeat Roses and all of those were donated to different charities.
“It just speaks to who she is. She’s very kind, very generous.”
