The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have landed in Morocco for a very short trip to the country. The last one they will be making until Baby Sussex is born.
Upon arrival to the Casablanca Airport on a commercial flight, Meghan Markle stunned in a bespoke red Valentino dress matching the colour of the national flag. She finished her outfit with a Valentino VRing Smooth Calfskin Crossbody Bag and blush pumps.
Coming off the airplane into the royal suite at the airport, they were offered some Moroccan treats.
They were greeted by British Ambassador Thomas Reilly before Prince Harry inspected the Guard of Honour.
From the airport, the couple headed to the royal residence where they are staying to be greeted privately by Crown Prince Moulay Hassan, 15.
The first day was a quick one, but Sunday’s events are jam-packed including flying to the Atlas Mountains to visit Ansi Town.
As exciting as it was to see the royal couple for their arrival, it was Ambassador Reilly who stole the show online.
He managed to contain his excitement in front of the Duke and Duchess, but his social media accounts were a mix of emotions that most people about to greet royalty would feel.
Reilly shared a picture on his Instagram with his impressive collection of Union Jack socks, which he had the “agony of choice” of which pair to wear.
Patricia Watts responded saying she would take them off his hand to which he replied, “but what would I wear then?”
This is the pair he picked in the end.
His excitement didn’t end there or did talk of his socks when he exclaimed they” are so happy they are jumping up and down. I’m having to work hard to restrain them!”
After meeting Harry and Meghan, he proclaimed they were the “most charming people” he has ever met.
Sunday will bring a tour of the ‘Education For All’ boarding home where a Henna ceremony will be performed on the Duchess. In the evening there the British Ambassador will be hosting a reception at his residence. Be prepared for more sock photos from Reilly!
