Finishing the number with “Listen up when Beale Street talks.”

Bo Burnham’s “Eighth Grade” also got the special treatment.

“Eighth-grade baby, the grade between seven and nine,” adding “chicken nugget dinner.”

Amanda Seyfried had one of those mixed emotions where you can’t tell if they were shocked or loving it. “Oh my god,” she whispered.

Traditionally stoic Joaquin Phoenix looked like he was trying to hold back a laugh and not dare break character as Shangela told him “you gotta share that beard.”

Mostly, the audience was in awe.

You can catch the full performance above. Although be warned, you will be singing “I will be your “First Reformed”. Bless me, father” for the rest of the day.
