A staple in the reality television world, Lisa Vanderpump, star of “Vanderpump Rules” and “The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills”, is reportedly working on a new show focused around dogs.
One insider added it is “not a spin-off” and “could just be a special.” At the current moment, the show is “just a reel in development.”
Fellow “RHOBH” stars, Erika Girardi, Lisa Rinna, Teddi Mellencamp, Dorit Kemsley, and Kyle Richards, are apparently not impressed by the idea of this new project as they believe Vanderpump laid the groundwork for her new show during season nine at their “expense”.
The women are “extremely unhappy” and “felt used by the show’s producers” to further the success of Vanderpump.
Fans were first introduced to the employees at the shelter during the season 9 premiere.
John Sessa, a worker at the dog shelter, brought out one of the pups that “Real Housewife” Dorit Kemsley brought to a kill shelter after she claimed it bit her husband and kids.
While showing the dog to Mellencamp and Richards who were visiting the shelter, Sessa told the story which has led Vanderpump’s co-stars to believe she asked him to share it on camera.
Sessa defended his boss on the podcast “On the Rocks Radio Show with Alexander Rodriguez”, saying he has proof of the sequence of events that happened from him signing the paperwork for the episode to later finding out “one of my dogs had ended up in a kill shelter.”
Vanderpump wasn’t around for most of the filming of season nine and isn’t sure if she will return to season 10, telling US Weekly, “The show hasn’t been picked up for another season. Of course, I’ve had discussions, and we’ve talked about me coming back. No decision has been made and [my spinoff] Vanderpump Rules is a big show now. There are other things in the works. There’s something up my sleeve.”
