The “Great Balls of Fire” singer, 83, suffered a “minor stroke” on Thursday and was treated at a hospital in Memphis. “Last night, Jerry Lee Lewis suffered a minor stroke,” a rep said in a statement obtained by ET Canada. “He is with his family, recuperating in Memphis and the doctors expect a full recovery.”

“The Killer looks forward to getting back into the studio soon to record a Gospel record and on the road performing live for his fans,” the rep continued. “His family requests privacy at this time. Well wishes and prayers are greatly appreciated.”

Word of Lewis’ stroke comes one day after “Riverdale” and “Beverly Hills, 90210” star Luke Perry was rushed to the hospital after suffering a possible stroke.
