It has been a whirlwind few weeks in the life of Danielle Staub.
“The Real Housewives Of New Jersey” star got divorced from her husband of 10-months, Marty Caffrey on Feb. 21, got engaged to Oliver Maier with an announcement on Thursday, went shopping for a massive ruby ring at Van Cleef & Arpels Saturday morning and by the afternoon was thinking of postponing her Monday wedding because her two daughters are “pushing back”, and now has cancelled the whole thing altogether.

The reality star who has been engaged 21 times told TMZ on Saturday while heading back to her New York City hotel that her daughters are not happy and “pushing back”. Although it is unclear of their exact reason.
Staub picked the ruby ring (her birthstone) with intertwining diamonds on the side. She told People. “In the French culture having something intertwined symbolises two bodies coming together as one.”
Maier is French and German and owns multiple vineyards in France. He has claimed to be the Duke of Provence, a fact that Bravo was pushing suggesting that Staub would become a Duchess.
Only one problem, the last Duke of Provence was in 843 AD. Currently, there is no legally acknowledged title.
There was a Count Provence, another title that has been made obsolete because of the French Revolution. Louis XVIII was the last one to have it in 1792.
Even if Maier did hold the Count Provence title, it would mean Staub could become a Countess. The same as Luann de Lesseps of “The Realy Housewives Of New York.”
Yet none of that really matters as Staub has called the entire wedding off on Monday.
US Weekly reports that despite the two shopping for that massive engagement ring, Maier never purchased it.
Multiple sources confirm that the wedding hasn’t just been delayed, but called off completely.
