“Shazam!” is what happens when you give a 14-year-old superpowers.
Warner Bros. released the second full trailer for their next DC Comics superhero movie on Monday, set to the tune of Eminem’s “My Name Is”.
The rapper is a fan of multiple comic books and lent his voice to Sony for a song in “Venom”, as well as tweeted his anger at Marvel’s “The Punisher”:
Zachary Levi plays a teenage boy trying his hand at the superhero trade. When Billy Batson (Asher Angel) yells “Shazam!” he becomes Captain Marvel. No, not Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel. These are two different characters from two different properties.
“This is complete wish fulfilment. This is 14-year-old me that got to put on a cape and fly,” Levi said at July’s San Diego Comic-Con, per the Hollywood Reporter. “This whole movie is about wish fulfilment.”
