Eddie Vedder appears to have changed his mind about Bradley Cooper remaking “A Star Is Born”.
Vedder covered Cooper’s character Jackson Maine’s track “Maybe It’s Time” as he took the stage at the Innings Festival in Tempe, Arizona, on Sunday.
The performance comes after Cooper told Yahoo! Entertainment of Vedder’s reaction to the award-winning flick: “He thought it was crazy I was going to do this movie. He was like, ‘What? Bro, don’t do that.’”
He added of spending time with the Pearl Jam frontman: “I went up to Seattle and spent four or five days with him and I asked him 9,000 questions.
“And he gave me minor, little things that only musicians know about what to do, just aesthetically and the inner workings… He was wonderful.”
After Vedder’s rendition of the track did its rounds online, writer Jason Isbell was shocked to learn the musician had covered his song:
