Heidi Montag never expected her feud with Lauren Conrad to last so long.
Montag, 32, opens up to Cosmopolitan about her fallout with Conrad, 33. “Sometimes things happen that will change how you feel about people, and sometimes it’s very permanent,” she says. “I thought with Lauren and me, we would’ve been friends again.”
“The Hills” is making a comeback and Montag believes it was meant to be. “It’s weird because I remember going out with Nicole Richie and people at the time, and we would come by [the] set when they were filming ‘The Hills’,” Montag reflects. “She would drag me to the producer van to see what you guys had been up to all day. All these years later…it sounds corny, but it felt like this was supposed to happen.”
“The Hills: New Beginnings” features a slew of familiar faces — Montag, Spencer Pratt, Audrina Patridge and Whitney Port are all set to return — but the series also welcomes newcomer and “The O.C.” actress Mischa Barton.
“I sometimes get in over my head,” Mischa tells the publication. “I didn’t really consider the fact that they’re all such close friends. They’re family girls. They all have husbands or ex-husbands and babies… I was afraid that, obviously, the drama would land on me because I don’t have babies. But the bulk of the drama comes from the history they have.”
The April 2019 issue of Cosmopolitan is out March 12. “The Hills: New Beginnings” premieres this summer. If you cannot wait that long to read the new issue, Spencer Pratt provides a reading in the video below.
