Fans of “American Gods” are anticipating the upcoming second season and ET Canada has an exclusive teaser.
As Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane) corrals the forgotten old Gods in hopes of marshalling his forces and declare war on the new Gods that currently hold the interest of humanity, one of those new Gods is fighting back via a political campaign-style video, asking: What have those tired old Gods done for us lately?
In the video, the New Media God encourages everyone to “leave those old Gods behind” and instead put their faith in technology, with his message intercut by gripping scenes from the new season.
“Believe in what you can see,” New Media says, posing with his not-actual family, who join him in unison to creepily add, “Believe in what you can touch” as they proudly hold up their cellphones.
“American Gods” returns to Amazon Prime Video on Sunday, March 10; in advance of the new season, check out the official trailer for season 2:
