It’s official! “Mad About You” is coming back to TV.

On Wednesday, Spectrum Originals announced they have picked up the revival of the classic ’90s sitcom for a limited series run, with original stars Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt reprising their roles as Paul and Jamie Buchman.

On Twitter, Reiser celebrated the news of the show returning.

Reiser will executive produce the show with co-creator Danny Jackson, while Helen Hunt will direct the first episode and producer Peter Tolan will act as showrunner.

“We are so excited to finally be doing this and thrilled to have Peter Tolan as our fearless captain,” Reiser and Hunt said in a joint statement. “We promise you the same funny and heartwarming show – as soon as we can remember what’s funny about being older. It’s going to be great!”

The original “Mad About You” debuted in 1992 and ran for seven seasons and focused on the Bachmans’ lives together through the small and large struggles of marriage, work and more.

The new “Mad About You” revival series is scheduled to air in late 2019.
