Glee star, Lea Michele, and AYR clothing president, Zandy Reich, got married last Saturday.
After dating for two years, the couple shared their big day in Northern California with People. “We are so excited to be married and grateful to be surrounded by our friends and family. And most of all, we’re so happy to spend the rest of our lives together,” they told the magazine.
The outdoor ceremony was decorated classicly with white flowers. Michele’s gown complemented the blushing bride which she previously described as a dress that will “stand the test of time.” Michele just performed at her “Glee” co-star, Darren Criss’ wedding and she expected him to do the same for hers. He “better perform, I’m performing at his wedding,” she told Brides last month.
No word on if he pulled through, but this picture of Michele dancing with Harry Shum Jr. at the reception did show up!
Other friends to take part in the big day included Jonathan Groff and “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy, who officiated the wedding. You can spot him in the background of the picture at the ceremony. Becca Tobin and “Scream Queen” actress Emma Roberts were also guests.
Lea shared with People details on how the wedding came together. “I wanted it to feel like we were in Italy,” she said. “That’s where my family’s from, the food that I grew up eating, and so I wanted to have a Tuscany-Italian vibe, with family-style pasta, big, long, family tables, lots of red wine — an elegant night in Italy.”
Food was a huge priority for the couple. In fact, Michele requested an “uber lush spread” of bagels and cream cheese. “Zandy says I’m gonna eat three bagels,” laughed Michele, “and I’m saying he could maybe crush four.”
