Kim Kardashian wants to end California’s death penalty.
The reality TV star shared a few messages on Twitter, in which she confirmed that she’d met with Governor Gavin Newsom, who has been working to eliminate the penalty.
Kardashian’s posts included, “Racial bias and unfairness run deep throughout the justice system but especially when it comes to the death penalty.
“And we should not be okay with the risk that an innocent person could be executed.”
Kardashian’s comments come as she also continues her fight for prison reform.
She previously worked with Donald Trump to release grandmother Alice Marie Johnson, who had been wrongly sentenced to life imprisonment.
Johnson was granted clemency this past June by the president after Kardashian advocated on her behalf at the White House.
