Sephora and TRESemme just made a huge cut to their collaborations.
Following the news of Lori Loughlin’s involvement in a college admissions scheme, claiming the “Full House” star secured her daughters’ —Isabella Rose and Olivia Jade Giannulli — admission to the University of Southern California by paying $500,000 in bribes, it was recently announced that Olivia’s collection at Sephora had been pulled.
Olivia, a well known YouTuber, and the makeup retailer worked together on the Olivia Jade x Sephora palette, released in December 2018.
In an official statement, Sephora revealed the product would be pulled from shelves, “After careful review of recent developments, we have made the decision to end the Sephora Collection partnership with Olivia Jade, effective immediately.”
TRESemme also released a statement, which read: “After careful review of recent events, we have decided to end our partnership with Olivia Jade Giannulli.”
Both Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli have been indicted, and are facing felony charges for conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud. If convicted, she faces up to five years in prison. Loughlin was released on $1 million bond on Wednesday after surrendering to federal authorities.
Former “Desperate Housewives” star Felicity Huffman is also an alleged conspirator and is facing similar charges.
Olivia is in her first year at the USC but the college has yet to decide the fate of the rest of her schooling.
