The secrets surrounding the “Star Wars”; standalone film “Rogue One”; are beginning to reveal themselves thanks to Mads Mikkelsen’s loose lips.
The actor let it slip that he’s playing the father of Felicity Jones’ character Jyn in the upcoming film.
“I can say absolutely nothing about it. I can, but then I’d have to kill you and all the audience,”; the Danish actor joked of his unnamed role in “Rogue One”;, before seeming to accidentally reveal too much during an interview with SkyNews. After watching a clip from the film’s trailer, the Danish star let his character details slip, eliciting a gasp from the TV host.

“Felicity’s playing this lovely, young, strong woman. I play her…father. And that was too much, I’m sorry,”; the “Hannibal”; star said, seemingly realizing his mistake.
“You can tell us if Darth Vader’s in it as well, then,”; the TV host said, trying to coax more out of Mikkelsen. “Yes, I can,”; he replied. “But I won’t.”;
The details of the plot have been kept under wraps, though the first trailer suggests that Rebels, including one played by Jones, are on a mission to steal the plans for the Death Star.

Mikkelsen called the script “very beautiful”; stating, “Of course it’s dramatic. It’s “Star Wars'”;. The actor admitted to being a “little scared”; when he was first approached about appearing in the spin-off film which takes place prior to the events of previous “Star Wars”; films.
The 50-year-old-actor also opened up about his role in Marvel’s “Dr. Strange”;, calling Benedict Cumberbatch a “perfect match”; for the title character.
“I believe I’m allowed to say I play an opponent, a baddie,”; he says slowly. “Not really a baddie, but someone who believes in something else [that] Dr. Strange believes in.”;
