Karlie Kloss has nothing but the kindest words to say about Taylor Swift.
Appearing on the “Watch What Happens Live” after-show with Andy Cohen, Kloss got a listener question asking what she thought of Swift’s recent essay for Elle.
“In my twenties I found myself surrounded by girls who wanted to be my friend,” Swift wrote about her so-called “Squad” of female friends. “So I shouted it from the rooftops, posted pictures, and celebrated my newfound acceptance into a sisterhood, without realizing that other people might still feel the way I did when I felt so alone.
“Something about ‘We’re in our young 20s!’ hurls people together into groups that can feel like your chosen family. And maybe they will be for the rest of your life. Or maybe they’ll just be your comrades for an important phase, but not forever. It’s sad but sometimes when you grow, you outgrow relationships.”
Kloss revealed that she has actually read the essay, telling Cohen, “Taylor is incredible, and I feel really lucky to call her a friend. She’s one of the hardest-working women and I loved her essay.”
“She’s one of the best songwriters. She can honestly poop out a hit,” Cohen added, to which Kloss responded, “She could sneeze it out!”
Kloss’ comments praising Swift come after much online speculation that the two are no longer close friends after Swift reportedly did not attend Kloss’ wedding in New York last fall.
