Aaron Paul is not saying there will be a “Breaking Bad” movie, but if there is, he would probably be the star.
The actor played coy when asked about the rumoured feature film sequel to the all-time great television show. “Rumours are funny — I once heard a rumour that I was being cast as Han Solo,” Paul told the audience at Sun Valley Film Festival on Friday. “I haven’t heard anything about the ‘Breaking Bad’ movie but if there is one and it comes together I’d love to be a part of it.”
“If it were to happen, yes, I would love to do it,” he continued, per Uproxx. Even if Paul is indeed working on a “Breaking Bad” movie, he would likely have to stay hush under contract. That did not stop him from dropping this potential hint: “In case you haven’t caught up on the TV series, Walter dies, so… it has to star Jesse.”
Murmurings of a “Breaking Bad” movie picked up steam after it was revealed the show’s creator, Vince Gilligan, was working on a new movie called “Greenbrier”. That project is being shot in Albuquerque, New Mexico — the set of the beloved television series.
There is no word on when “Greenbrier” will hit theatres.
