Brad Paisley was busy preparing for a big concert in Houston over the weekend but still managed to find time for something a little more intimate first.
On Friday, the night before his show at Rodeo Houston, the country star stopped by Blue Door Coffee Company, a coffee shop in The Woodlands, Tex., to play an impromptu set for surprised fans.
According to the Houston Chronicle, Paisley is longtime family friends with Blue Door co-owner Chad Gauntt.
“He’s a huge coffee guy,” Gauntt said. “He said, ‘I’m gonna play there. I promise you.’ Every time we would talk, he’d ask.”
Gauntt also said he thought about tweeting about Paisley’s appearance ahead of time.
“It was supposed to be a secret. I have 15 employees. I think every single employee told about 10 people,” he said.
Paisley played a number of his songs, including “I’m Gonna Miss Her” and “Ticks”, as well as debuting a new song called “No I In Beer”.
