Ariana Grande is not about to let the world forget about Mac Miller.
Grande, 25, has paid homage to her ex-boyfriend in big and small ways since his untimely passing on Sept. 7. Most recently, Grande treated concertgoers to Miller’s tunes at the first stop of her “Sweetener” world tour.
Those in attendance for Grande’s concert in Albany, New York on Monday took to social media to share the tribute. While waiting for Grande to take the stage, the speakers played various Miller songs.
This is far from the first time Grande has honoured the deceased rapper. She has gotten several tattoos in memory of him. Most notably, Grande sings “Even almost got married / And for Pete, I’m so thankful / Wish I could say, “Thank you” to Malcolm / ‘Cause he was an angel” on her hit single “Thank U, Next”.
Miller passed away on Sept. 7 of an accidental drug overdose due to “mixed drug toxicity” of fentanyl, alcohol, and cocaine. He was 26-years-old.
Four Canadian dates have been announced for Grande’s tour: Montreal on April 1, Toronto on April 3, Edmonton on April 25 and Vancouver on April 27. She will return to Toronto on June 26 for a second concert in the city.
