Despite this being the Queen’s first solo outing with Middleton, they have, of course, attended many events with other members of the Royal Family.

The royal engagement came before the Duchess of Cambridge was announced as the new Patron of the Foundling Museum.

Middleton visited the venue where she learned how the organization works with art and artists to transform the lives of vulnerable and marginalized young people.

She viewed the Bedrooms Of London photography exhibit that shows the sleeping conditions of the 700,000 youth under the poverty line in the capital.

The Duchess said a few words on becoming the new patron, adding that she is “passionate about improving children’s life chances and giving them opportunities, so that they can look forward to the best possible futures, fulfil their whole potential, and have the freedom to explore their creativity.”

With a master of arts in art history, Middleton added that she has “always believed in the power of art,” to ” bring us joy, and to inspire, challenge and positively change our lives.”
