‘Riverdale’ Teases ‘Heathers’-Inspired Musical Episode In New Preview Clips

Get ready for some Big Fun.

The cast of “Riverdale” are channelling the stage musical based on the iconic 1989 black comedy “Heathers”  in two new clips from the series’ upcoming musical episode, airing this week.

The newly released footage teasing the episode has the cast taking on the roles made famous by Winona Ryder, Christian Slater, and Shannen Doherty. The “Heathers” story tells the tale of a rebellious outcast, Veronica Sawyer, and her sociopathic boyfriend J.D., as they plot to kill the teens in Westerburg High School’s coolest cliques. Filled with clever references to the original film — chainsaws, anyone? — the “Riverdale” episode comes after the success of last season’s take on “Carrie: The Musical”.

How very.
