Liam Gallagher’s son is a chip off the musical block, as the former Oasis star proved when he revealed that his 17-year-old progeny, Gene Gallagher, has been helping him out in the studio as he works on new music.
Gallagher, 51, has reportedly been working on a new solo album, the as-yet-untitled followup to 2017’s As You Were, and took to social media on Wednesday to share a photo of his son in the studio pounding on a set of bongos.
Gallagher’s upcoming album has neither a title nor an official release date, although Billboard reports that producer Andrew Wyatt shared in-studio footage of Gallagher in an Instagram Story video back in January (which he since deleted), hinting that the new album would be arriving soon.
Offering further grist for the mill, last week Gallagher tweeted to a fan that the new album would be finished in “a few more wks.”
