It is time to find out why Sundance Film Festival critics loved “The Last Black Man in San Francisco”.

The film premiered at Sundance on Jan. 26 to acclaim from various critics. The narrative drama stars Jimmie Falls, Jonathan Majors, Danny Glover, Mike Epps and more.

“The Last Black Man in San Francisco” is based on an original story by director Joe Talbot and marks his directorial feature film debut. A trailer for the film was released by A24 on Thursday.

Talbot’s film follows a young man attempting to repossess a home built by his grandfather. His hometown is suffering from extreme gentrification and the main character struggles with becoming a foreigner in his own backyard.

A24 will distribute “The Last Black Man in San Francisco” to theatres on June 14.
