Some celebrity interviews do not age well; such is the case with Lori Loughlin’s 2014 sit-down with Pat Robertson’s Christian Broadcasting Network in which the disgraced star discusses her philosophy of avoiding behaviour that could come back later and create problems for her children.
The interview may have seemed sweet at the time, but now seems particularly cringe-worthy after Loughlin and husband Mossimo Giannulli were charged with conspiracy as part of the college cheating sting operation, accused of paying a $500,000 bribe to ensure their daughters would be accepted to USC and land spots on the USC crew team — despite the awkward fact that neither had ever rowed.
Speaking with CBN in 2014, however, the “Fuller House” star discussed why she gravitates toward wholesome acting roles, issuing a statement that, in light of recent events, is beyond ironic.

“When I had children, I always thought, I don’t want to do anything that one day might rear its ugly head and my children have to pay the price for that,” she said.
During the faith-focused interview, Loughlin also discussed morality, another topic that’s particularly embarrassing given she and her husband may soon be convicted felons, and are currently free on $1-million bail each.
During Loughlin’s interview on CBN, the interviewer asked how she, as a “person of faith,” can remain steadfast in an “industry that crosses the line morally, ethically in so many ways.”
She replied: “Before I even had children, I was always very thoughtful about projects that I chose for myself. I would say to myself, ‘Can my father watch this?’ and if my father couldn’t watch it, I didn’t do it.”
Loughlin and her husband have been ordered to appear in court in Boston on April 3, as has fellow actress Felicity Huffman, also arrested as part of the FBI operation targeting wealthy individuals who paid hefty bribes to ensure their children would be accepted into top universities.
