Jordan Peele’s “Get Out” follow-up “Us” is on track for a big debut.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Lupita Nyong’o-starring horror flick pulled in an impressive $7.4 million at at the box office from its Thursday night previews.

That box office pull puts “Us” on the road to making north of $40 million during its opening weekend, with some estimates at over $50 million.
In 2017, “Get Out” surprised with an opening weekend haul of $33.4 million, going on to gross $176 million domestically and a total of $255.4 globally.

Meanwhile, much like “Get Out”, “Us” is already taking social media by storm, with fans tweeting their excitement about the scary new film.
