NHL star Mike Fisher, who is married to country superstar Carrie Underwood, has just become American.
In a post on Instagram stories, Fisher shared “Big day I’m officially American” as he waved a mini American flag.

Fisher was born in Peterborough, Ontario but has played for the Nashville Predators since 2011.
Underwood revealed on Instagram that she is trying to convert her husband as she is “still working with him on the Southern accent.” They recently got Fisher his first horse, Bojangles and the hockey player a cowboy hat so he can play the part.
The former Ottawa Senator shared that he has wanted a horse since he “was a kid.”
